TuWay and Partner CTL Sponsor Events at APCO in Lancaster, PA

TuWay Communications, Computing Technologies, LLC (CTL), and Mutualink joined forces at the Spring PA APCO conference held this April in Lancaster, PA in order to showcase their newest NG9-1-1 and Cybersecurity solutions and services.

Rob Wright from Mutualink and Derek Storm from TuWay presented a case study entitled “Public Safety Communications for Large Scale Events”. The presentation detailed interoperable radio, smartphone, text and video solutions used during the 2015 Papal visit to Philadelphia, and recent Super Bowl games. These events involved multiple jurisdictions, agencies, hospitals and utility companies.

Jared Steckel, Principal at CTL, delivered a technical presentation, “Securing Public Safety’s Evolving Networks”. His presentation discussed the new Cybersecurity threat landscape due to implementation of ESINets and NG9-1-1 in the Commonwealth, and detailed various threat mitigation strategies. It also featured a live demonstration of simulated threats and responses using advanced Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Unified Security Management (USM) platforms.
