Interoperable Communications

Ever since the events of 9/11, improving communications amongst everyone involved in public safety responses has been a priority. For years, TuWay has been providing interoperable communications solutions from JPS/ Raytheon, Zetron, Avtec and Omnitronics to public safety and industry. While these products are successful at achieving interoperable voice communications, interoperable data communications has proved more elusive. Now, with the addition of Mutualink products to our Interoperable Communications portfolio, our customers can create networks of interoperable communities that are, at an instant, capable of sharing voice, text, radio, video, data and telephone communications in a secure environment.

Mutualink’s revolutionary approach enables all critical organizations within a community to participate in incidents as required.  These interoperable communities include:

  • All levels of local, state and federal government
  • Fire, police, and EMS
  • Hospitals
  • Critical infrastructure such as utilities
  • Schools and universities
  • School buses and mass transit
  • Airports, ports and shipping
  • High value community assets

Mutualink’s secure peer to peer Internet Protocol (IP) Network eliminates single points of failure and the need for a central “switch”. Incidents are created with Mutualink’s Graphical User Interface (GUI) by electronically inviting participants.  Participants on the Mutualink Network have control over their radio and other communication resources, can accept or reject invitations and exit incidents at their discretion.
