Marshalls Creek Fire Company - Engine 29-2
Marshalls Creek Fire Company Engine 29-2
At TuWay Communications we know you’ve spent hundreds of man hours planning and designing your new fire truck. So when Marshalls Creek Volunteer Fire Company called us about a reliable two way radio and intercom system for their brand new rig, we made it happen.
Following a needs assessment of Engine 29-2, it was decided to use a Motorola XTL2500 UHF Dual Control Head Mobile Radio. The XTL2500 features a tri-color multi-line control head display, ruggedized controls and electronics, and the ability to be flash upgraded to the APCO P25 standard in the future, should it be needed. Paired with this radio is a Motorola CDM1250 Low Band Radio which is needed for communications with certain mutual aid companies.
Also featured in Engine 29-2 is a David Clark two position wireless intercom system for the driver and officer seating positions that allow them to converse while en route to a call without having to yell over siren noise. Once on scene, the driver is free to move around the vehicle wearing the headset and to perform additional tasks on the fireground while still being ‘connected’ to the truck radio.
Prior to installation, discussions were held, notes were taken and the vehicle was ‘taped off’ for equipment locations. Once a clear plan was in place, the installation process commenced and within a couple of days Engine 29-2 was ready for the airwaves! We want you to know that a lot of work goes into a quality installation job, and you can rely on TuWay Communications for reliable, professional workmanship every time.
We give a special thank you to the Marshalls Creek Fire Company for allowing us to highlight their new engine on our website.
